Utugi TV is a Farmers TV station by SMART MEDIA COLLEGES LTD, We believe in quality T.V production through enlightening the farmers in our nation, educating and motivating our children and youths, oﬀering quality entertainment and creating awareness on all health issues. Our studios are located in Garden Estate, off Thika Road Nairobi.
Its founder is Mrs. Gathoni Muchomba Roberts.
Our Content is mainly Farmers programmes, dealing with Farmers documentaries, farmers tips of GAP, Youth Farming Programmes, Children Programmes,Health programmes, Mixed genres of songs, Interviewing personalities, Comments on social issues, commodity markets etc.
Our target audiences are people of all regions, races, colours, sex and ethnic origins. Our programming is structured in ﬂexible patterns thus enabling very willing partners
to join us in this great and noble initiative.
Utugi Tv is a digital TV on free to air platform and targets the mass populations of Nairobi, Nyeri Muranga,Nakuru, Laikipia, Meru, Narok, Kiambu and Embu.
We target the active and passive farmers of all ages both large-scale and small -scale, who require factual information on Good agricultural practices (GAPs) in livestock farming, cash crops, aquaculture horticulture and floriculture.
To achieve this we have partnered with agricultural organizations, research and financial institutions, farmers groups, cooperative societies and Saccos as well as County governments to prepare and present programs with the sole aim of promoting agriculture in Kenya.
Utugi TV is a 24 hours broadcasting station that presents interactive and participative programs that seek to inform, educate and entertain the farmer of all types. Our content is 100% local with 65% bias to agriculture and the rest is music and advertisement.
